The hike from Podgora to Makarska takes you along a section of the Makarska Riviera, a region renowned for its rugged coastline and crystal-clear waters. This coastal path stretches for approximately 7 kilometers, making it a moderate hike suitable for hikers of various skill levels. The trail offers a unique blend of nature, history, and culture, making it an enriching experience for anyone who ventures along it.

Your journey begins in the charming town of Podgora, known for its pebble beaches and serene atmosphere. As you set out, the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea will be your constant companion, glistening under the Mediterranean sun. Additional information
The path is relatively easy to walk. The paths are mostly developed and lead along the promenades, but there are also gravel paths with coarse gravel, so sturdy shoes are recommended.
If you walk along the promenade, it is also relatively shady, but the path occasionally leads through a barren hilly landscape where there is no shade for miles around. So you should still take sun protection with you.
There are theoretically public toilets on the beaches, but these were not open, although they should be according to the opening times. However, there are numerous cafés and restaurants where you can get something to eat and go to the loo.
You also feel quite safe along the route. There aren’t masses of people on the road, at least not in spring/autumn, but hikers often come along.
